Another first time visitor showed up this evening. As Terry and I were sitting down to our dinner I spotted a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Pheucticus ludovicianus) in the trees to the north of the house. Its size and shape reminded me of a robin but the brilliantly white belly with the shocking red bib made identification easy.
