On the road again...

...can't wait to get back on the road again.

Terry and I are heading west early Sunday morning. Destination Eugene, Oregon and our son's wedding to a delightful young lady who will be graduating law school on Saturday and getting wed on Sunday. Sounds like she'll have a busy weekend!

Mapquest tells me the total distance is right around 2800 miles. Our hotel reservations are made for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We have a full tank of gas (almost), a bag of animal crackers, and we'll be wearing sunglasses as we head off toward Chicago on I-80 tomorrow morning. Actually, we hope to make it into Iowa before the day is out. Chicago is too close. We used to make it to Benoit, Wisconsin when we were taking I-90 to Moscow, Idaho/Spokane, Washington.

We hope to get enough miles behind us on Monday and Tuesday to make it possible to stop at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge on the northeast shores of the Great Salt Lake before heading on up through Boise, Idaho and on into Oregon.

Monday after all the matrimonial stuff is taken care of, we'll have a family lunch, drop my Mother-in-Law and daughter off at the airport and head south to visit an old friend before turning homeward on Tuesday morning.

If the hotels/motels/inns along the way have wi-fi, I'll be posting pictrues and comments, so stay tuned.

That sounds like fun, guys! Enjoy.

I kinda miss the ability to hop on an interstate and go ...well, you know: interstate. We're a three-day drive from the nearest next state.
