About those New Years' Resolutions...

If they are geared toward losing weight, you might want to rethink.

All the reports of the health benefits of chocolate, caffeine, blueberries, bacon, etc. and now this:

Study: A few extra pounds may cut risk of early death

And by "A few" they mean 30 or so pounds.
People who are overweight by up to 30 or so have a slightly lower risk of early death than those at a normal weight, the government analysis finds.

Of course, at my age "early death" may have been defeated already.
