This report in the Scotsman makes me feel a little better about all the food that’s been around for the holidays. But I’m still avoiding the scale for a couple more weeks.
Put on weight at Christmas? Relax - it may not be bad for your health
With company in the house for the end of the year every night has been a fancy meal with all the trimmings. Add the cookies and candy and everything else that goes with entertaining and the reduction of physical activity as northern New Jersey goes through its rain/sleet/almost-snow season and I get my annual 5 to 10 pound gain. If there were real snow, then the shovel and snowshoes would take care of the problem but until then….
