Brrr!

The Weather Channel says it is 41 degrees down in the valley, but up here at the Aerie, it's only dropped to 47.

Living on the slope of a hill, even though it faces northwest and doesn't get the early sun, has some advantages. The sinking cold air just slides right on by as it heads downhill to the valley below.

At least that's how it works when there isn't a breath of a breeze or a cloud in the sky.
