Another Wine Tasting

We hit the sauce again today.

Terry and I joined Gary and Anya at another wine tasting. This one was to a single winery on the shores of Keuka Lake just outside of Penn Yan. It included both an educational session delving into the way wine is made and the way its flavor changes as it matures from vat to barrel to bottle and an excellent selection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts. It was the Keuka Spring Vineyards' "Holiday Barrel Tasting".

Excellent wines and a fun time. We came home with a case of Chardonnay's, Merlots and whites at a sizable discount.

Sounds fabulous! I was really amazed at all the wineries that popped up in Sullivan Co.PA & the surrounding area when Patrick & I were there. The one in Eagles Mere (or was it Laporte?)was especially lovely. We did the California coast wine country route many years ago and it was soooo much fun.

So, no moose for you huh?! Well I know you all have a ton of deer and bears. Have a great week! Blessings, Cassie

Funny, but we haven't been to any wineries in PA...yet.

We did the Sanoma Valley a few Xmases ago while visiting Terry's Sis in Half Moon Bay (think ocean side from San Fran.). Terry wants to go back to check out Napa.

"Tons" of deer? I'd settle for one buck right about now. And can such large critters disappear so easily?
