A George Will op-ed on the NCAA and Indian names of teams. PC gets whistled for lack of logic. Anytime you make generalizations, you’re bound to look foolish.
But…COLLEGE NICKNAMES: NCAA lifts restrictions
Apparently if you’re from one of the Dakotas the NCAA will let you use an Indian nickname. It helps when the tribes come forward to say they like the idea. Sometimes even the NCAA listens.
