Okay, we’ve looked at the Top 25--and then some. (See the previous post.) Now let’s take a look at the opposite end of the spectrum: The Bottom 10
Three teams have yet to win a game and currently have 0-6 records. Two of the ten have the week off. Two of this week’s games involve teams in this group facing one another (#112 Tulane against #118 Memphis, and #115 Middle Tennessee State against #116 Florida Atlantic). Will a win help any of these an opportunity to move up and out? Probably not. But should Minnesota defeat Nebraska, or Western Kentucky beat La.-Lafayette, UAB beat UCF, or New Mexico beat TCU, then the winner of that game has a chance to get out from under—temporarily.
As listed by CBSSPorts120 these are the teams ranked #111 through 120 out of 120 teams playing in the FBS.
111 The UNLV Rebels (1-5) have an extra week to prepare to face the Colorado State Rams (3-3) on Oct. 29.
112 The Tulane Green Wave (2-5) host the Memphis Tigers (1-6) Saturday afternoon.
113 The Minnesota Golden Gophers (1-5) host the #13(AP) Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-1) Saturday afternoon.
114 The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (2-4) are on the road against the La.-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns (6-1) Saturday afternoon.
115 The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders (1-4) Oct. 22 @Florida Atlantic Owls (0-6) Saturday afternoon.
116 The Florida Atlantic Owls (0-6) host the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders (1-4) Saturday afternoon. The Owls have a chance to get their first victory.
117 The Idaho Vandals (1-6) are idle this week. Their next game is at home against the Hawaii Warriors Oct. 29.
118 The Memphis Tigers (1-6) head to Tulane to play the Green Wave (2-5) Saturday afternoon.
119 The UAB Blazers (0-6) play Thursday night against the UCF Knights (3-3).
120 The New Mexico Lobos (0-6) head to TCU to play the Horned Frogs (4-2) Saturday afternoon.
