Allen Moore (Bib Number: 54) and Aliy Zirkle (Bib Number: 50) are both veterna Iditarod mushers. And they are married to each other.
She is currently running in 15th place and has taken her 24-hour rest. He is back in 36th place but has not made the requisite stop. Aliy is out of Ophir heading to Cripple. Allen is still in Takotna where he is probably taking that 24-hour rest.
If/when she beats him to the finish line, I'm sure the dinner table talk will be about how he let her have the better team!
