Hurricane No. 1

I see that Burtha Bertha has become the first hurricane of the season. (Call that a Freudian slip if you will. Hot air and all that bluster.) The Hurricane Center predicts it will curve northward long before it reaches the US coast, however. That's both good and bad news. The southeast could certainly use the rains that a hurricane would provide (they are long overdue) but the destruction the winds of one would produce are certainly not desired.

Bermuda could still be in for a bit of a lashing.
