The Evening Groseaks showed up again today. A flock of 12, with about an equal number of males and females, landed on the deck feeder. They surrounded the tray and chirped and ate for several minutes. Then they would retire to the poplar trees across the yard. A half hour or so later they would return for more sunflower seeds. I believe they may have been filling their crops at the tray and then leaving for the trees to digest their bounty. When the crops were empty, they'd come back for a refill. They stayed in the area repeating this process several times over the course of two hours before they left.
I managed to take several pictures using my digiscoping set up and shooting through the glass of the doors as they were feeding. This is the best of them:
