Let Week Two Begin!

Well there’s more college football coming up starting tomorrow night so let’s take a quick look at the new poll rankings. Once again the three polls involved here are the Writers’ Poll (AP), the Coaches’ Pol and CBSSports.com.

There were four upsets of Top 25 teams last week so there was a little shakeup in the rankings. The upsets included #24 (NR/25) Alabama over #9 (9/9) Clemson bay a score of 34-10, East Carolina over #17 (15/17) Virginia Tech 27-22, UCLA in overtime over #18 (18/18) Tennessee 27-24, and Bowling Green over #25 (NR/NR) Pittsburgh 27-17.

NR (NR/25) East Carolina. The Pirates knocked off then #17 Virginia Tech in week one 27-22 to keep their way into the Top 25 of the CBSSports.com pol. Perhaps the writers and coaches don’t like their chances this week against #8 West Virginia…in Morgantown, WVa.

And there you have it. Week Two is underway tonight with #24 South Carolina playing at Vanderbilt.
