frequent flyer Marc Tacchi has reached his goal of accumulating one million miles of credits… he had racked up 1,003,625 mileage points and spent 56 of the last 61 days in an airplane.
He took advantage of an Air Canada program that permitted unlimited flights from October 1 through November 30.
It is frightening to think of all the airline food this guy had during the two months but according to his Blog (Marc Tacchi - The Great Canadian Mileage Run 2005), he gained 8 pounds. Must have been all that sitting around. But he blames the Baileys .
I attribute it to the lack of on board fruit plates in November led to increased consumption of cookies in the Maple Leaf Lounges..and what's a cookie without a glass of Baileys????Indeed.
And, get this:
Tacchi works as a contract pilot. Once a week, he flies a Boeing 747 cargo plane to Europe or Asia.
For his troubles he gets the equivalent of 10 round-trip flights to Australia. Estimated value $70,000.
Favorite line from his blog:
Times I have seen March of the Penguins: 0
I never actually got thru it without falling asleep.
See his “typical” day here.
(Now why didn’t the Reuters article on Yahoo give the blog’s URL?)
