Easy Come, Easy Go

44 acres of Hawaii created by the eruption of Kilauea dropped into the sea today. The “land” was a lava field that formed a shelf extending out over the sea. When it broke free and sank it left a 60 foot high cliff with a 6 foot diameter “pipe” shooting molten lava out into the sea. The picture is quite spectacular. You can see it here.

It must have been a spectacular sight to behold.
